If in Garut, West Java, there is the famous Sadahurip Mountain because of its shape resembling a pyramid, it turns out that on the island of Flores other mountains can be found that have similar shapes to the ancient buildings of the Egyptian country. the mountain is called Gunung Inerie, located in Ngada Regency, or about fifteen kilometers to the south of Bajawa which is the city center of Ngada Regency, East Nusa Tenggara. The form of Mount Inerie really resembles a pyramid with pointed buds. there are several places around Mount Inerie which are used as a spot to enjoy the beauty of this still active volcano. aimere and Penginapan Manulalu, touted as the best place to enjoy the panoramic view of Mount Inerie, because from that place the shape of the mountain that last erupted in 1970 will look clear like a sharp pyramid.

Climbing Mount Inerie is not an easy matter, the track from the pride of the Ngada community is dominated by gravel and rock rocks to the top. this makes the road being traversed slippery and difficult to step on. Quite often the climbers must crawl in order to continue climbing. the small amount of vegetation that grows on this mountain will add to the challenge if the climb is carried out during the day, because the hot sun will not be reluctant to add to the burden of climbing.

Arriving at the first ridge, a deep enough crater from Mount Inerie can already be seen. but the journey still has to continue to its highest point with rocky terrain and increasingly steep slope. About 30 minutes of climbing from the last ridge, climbers will arrive at the highest peak of Mount Inerie. The peak is marked by three pillars shaped like a cross stuck on the ground. From this peak it can be seen clearly that the Bena Indigenous Village which is right at the foot of this mountain and is also one of the attractions that Ngada Regency has

Mount Inerie climbing activities are quite well known by local and foreign tourists. The visitors are facilitated by the presence of tourist information centers in the city of Bajawa if they need more information regarding this mountain, or need a guide to climb Mount Ineri.

not satisfied just enjoying the panorama from a distance, try to climb the mountain directly which has a height of 2,245 meters above sea level. Although quite high, to reach the top of Mount Inerie only takes about three to five hours. this was due to the fact that Watumeze Village, which was the starting point of the climb, was already on a fairly high level. Usually the climbers start climbing from early morning to reach the top when the sun starts to rise. This mountain is crowded in the dry season or around June to August.
